The Banquet for Africa will feature Keith Smith, a long-serving
missionary among the Fulani people of Burkina Faso.
We need table sponsors ($250 per table) and table hosts (to invite friends to share the evening) to assist us in making this event a success.

A team from churches in the Richmond area will travel to France this summer to participate in AJC - Strasbourg, Action des Jeunes dans la Cite (Youth Action for the City)
AJC was first experienced in Strasbourg in 2006. Over 500 young people came together to grow in their faith and to share in simple acts of service to bless the Strasbourg community. It was a powerful witness and lives were changed.
This year a team from the US will join with French and other young people to be a practical blessing to Strasbourg. Brian Mason, a member of World Horizons' board of directors is coordinating the project. World Horizons' France team is one of the partners in AJC.

We are planning a mission team to travel to the Atlas Mountains of North Africa. The team will visit Berber villages and participate in a service project to be a blessing to a rural community.
Our desire is that this team should provide participants with an opportunity for personal retreat. Time spent away from the regular routine can be a wonderful time to hear God speak afresh into our lives.
We will also visit a ministry that uses business opportunities in the outdoor environment to create access and to disciple local people, and we will meet some of the people serving to proclaim Christ in the area.

In a changing world it is increasingly important that Christians
understand the Muslim world and worldview. Our response to the
followers of Islam needs not only to be rooted in Christian
compassion, but it also needs to be properly informed.
World Horizons presents the
‘Understanding the World of Islam’
seminar as a means both of training for evangelism and assisting
the dialog between the church and the Muslim community. Over
recent months material from this seminar has been presented in
many churches in the eastern part of the USA.
Topics include: Understanding the god of Islam; Muslim
worldview; Muslim beliefs and practices; and handling the three
questions that Muslims most often ask of Christians.
